A Fox River Grove man has been ordered to be detained in McHenry County Jail after authorities found him possessing child pornography that depicts a child engaging in a sex act with an animal, court records show.
Ethan Lord, 23, is charged with three Class 2 felony counts of possession of child pornography depicting child sexual abuse, McHenry County court records show.
The first count of the complaint against Lord states he possessed a video that contains “any child whom the defendant knew or reasonably should have known
to be under the age of 18 engaged actually in an act of sexual penetration by any animal.”
The second count says he possessed a visual reproduction of child pornography through either a photo or video of a child under the age of eight engaged in sexual penetration, while the third count states he possessed a photo or video of a child who filmed herself naked.
The complaint alleges the events took place between November 0f 2024 and March 2025.
Lord was taken into custody by Fox River Grove police on May 23 and appeared in First Appearance court in the morning of May 24.
The McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office filed a motion to detain Lord until trial during the court hearing, court records show.
That motion was granted by McHenry County Associate Judge Mark Facchini during a detention hearing later on May 24.
Lord is due back in court on June 24.
