No injuries were reported after a bus collided with a vehicle in Libertyville Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Lt. Christopher Adams of the Libertyville Fire Department said emergency personnel were called the intersection of Almond and Case roads in Libertyville for a two-vehicle crash involving a bus just after 2 p.m. Monday.
Adams said the bus was carrying about 20 students and the students were part of a swim club.
He said the destination of the bus was unknown and Adams did not know where the bus was coming from.
He said an adult chaperone assisting the swim team met with firefighters and informed crews that the children were okay.
Emergency personnel checked out the children and no injuries were reported, Adams said.
Adams said the driver of the vehicle was also checked out at the scene and released.
The roadway was only closed for a short time while the accident was tended to, he said.
Attempts to reach the Libertyville Police Department were unsuccessful late Monday.
