One person is in custody and another person was injured following a shooting at a Lake Forest dog park, police said.
Lake Forest Police Department said in a social media post that they responded to the Prairie Wolf Forest Preserve Dog Park at 1917 S. Waukegan Road in Lake Forest for a report of a shooting Sunday evening.
Responding officers were able to take the shooter into custody without incident, officials reported.
The injured person was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville for treatment by the Lake Forest Fire Department, officials said.
The weapon believed to have been used in this incident has been recovered, officials said.
The incident is under investigation by the Lake County Forest Preserve Police with assistance from the Lake Forest Police Department, officials said.
Police said this appears to be an isolated incident between two subjects and there is no threat to the community.
