A 44-year-old Winthrop Harbor man has been identified as the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash in Waukegan.
Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek said the Waukegan Police Department responded to Route 120 near Greenleaf Street for a motorcycle crash at 7:17 p.m. Tuesday.
First responders arrived to find a single motorcycle crash where the operator had been ejected, Banek said.
The operator of the motorcycle was transported by ambulance to Advocate Condell Medical Center.
He was pronounced dead in the emergency room, Banek said.
The Lake County Coroner’s Office was notified and responded to the hospital, Banek said.
The motorcyclist was identified as 44-year-old Dustin Humphrey of Winthrop Harbor following an autopsy conducted Wednesday, Banek said.
Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Humphrey died from blunt force injuries as a result of the crash, Banek said.
