Christopher S. Hopp, 39, of Crystal Lake.

The second of two former Huntley Dairy Mart owners has pleaded guilty to charges he possessed psilocybin and secretly filmed an unaware juvenile, court records show.

Christopher Hopp, 41, of Crystal Lake, pleaded guilty Tuesday to possessing 50 to 200 grams of psilocybin and creating a video of a juvenile female while she was unaware in her bedroom, court records show.

Possession of the psilocybin is a Class 1 felony, while the unauthorized videotaping charge is a Class 4 felony.

Hopp’s sentencing is scheduled for July 31, court records show.

Hopp is one of two former Huntley Dairy Mart owners arrested in 2023 after police found child pornography, drugs and guns in their home where children were present.

Corinne E. Breskovich, 43, of Crystal Lake, was sentenced to probation after being charged in January 2023 with two counts of child endangerment, four counts of possession of a firearm without a FOID, possession of ammunition without a FOID, possession with intent to deliver psilocybin and unlawful possession of psilocybin.

Hopp was 39 when he was charged in January 2023 with two counts of production of child pornography, two counts of possession of child pornography, two counts of unauthorized video recording, possession with intent to deliver psilocybin, unlawful possession of psilocybin, four counts of possession of a firearm with a revoked FOID, possession of ammunition without a FOID and two counts of child endangerment.

Criminal complaints filed in McHenry County Circuit Court alleged Hopp and Breskovich possessed with the intent to deliver more than 200 grams of a substance containing psilocybin.

Court documents show investigators executed a search warrant on January 26, 2023, at their residence in the 800 block of Wedgewood Drive in Crystal Lake.

Investigators found a “psilocybin mushroom grow operation” in the basement of the home, court documents show.

Psilocybin mushrooms and psilocybin mushroom seeds, which totaled 236 grams, were recovered.

They also recovered ammunition for the firearms.

Breskovich and Hopp did not have Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) cards on their person, the complaint said. Hopp has a revoked FOID, the complaint added.

The complaints said Breskovich and Hopp knowingly caused the life and health of two children, a 6-year-old and a 16-year-old, to be endangered by having the firearms unsecured in the home along with the drugs and ammunition accessible to them.

Hopp and Breskovich own Windy City Landholdings LLC, state records show.

The company purchased Huntley Dairy Mart, a popular food and ice cream restaurant in Huntley, in late 2022, according to records from the McHenry County Recorder’s Office.

The company no longer owned the business as of May 2023.

Hopp was released from the McHenry County Jail after posting 10% of his $400,000 bond. Breskovich was also released after posting 10% of her $150,000 bond.

Court records show Breskovich previously entered into a negotiated plea deal with the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office and pleaded guilty to unlawful possession with intent to deliver psilocybin, a Class 1 felony, which was the most serious charge against her. Her other charges were then dismissed.

McHenry County Judge Tiffany Davis approved the plea and sentenced Breskovich to two years of probation pursuant to the plea.

Breskovich was ordered to pay $5,740 in court fines and costs. She was ordered to obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow the recommended treatment.

Breskovich was sentenced to 14 days in jail but with credit for time served before she posted bond, the sentence was considered served.
