Lake County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli said it was determined that a 1999 Toyota 4Runner was traveling northbound on Route 12.

The driver told deputies he was eating Taco Bell while driving and was distracted by eating, Covelli said.

The Toyota veered to the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail as the driver was distracted by eating.
