Less than a year after ending their amazing 15-year run on McHenry County‘s Star 105.5, Joe Cicero and Tina Bree are returning to the airwaves bright and early Monday morning.

In a Facebook post on Star 105.5, the radio station announced the pair were reuniting starting Monday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

“Monday, November 3rd will be the start of our second run at Star 105.5,” the Facebook post reads. “Whether you’ve listened for the 15 years we were on together or you’re new to the area – get ready! We’ll be live 6 am- 10 am, here on Star!”

Cicero left the station in December to run marketing for the McHenry Outdoor Theater, ending the show’s 15-year run in McHenry County.

Cicero did hang around, however, hosting a show on Saturdays at Star 105.5 while running marketing at the drive-in.

“We’re looking forward to being on the air every weekday and shining a spotlight on things happening across the northwest burbs. Giving those who tune in every morning a fun way to start their day,” Cicero said when reached on Sunday. “Since we are local, we take pride in helping to promote small businesses and not-for-profits that make a direct impact on our community.

In a post on his personal Facebook page, Cicero said he will continue to work at the outdoor theater.

Bree continued the station’s morning show until February, then moved to the afternoon shift. She also opened a bookstore with her husband at the McHenry Riverwalk Shoppes in February.

“Joe and I couldn’t be happier to be back where we belong in the mornings in McHenry County,” Bree said Sunday. “There’s just something special about waking up with our listeners, laughing together, and being part of the amazing area again. We are delivering real life, real laughs, and real community.”

On her personal Facebook page, she publicly committed to continue working at her own bookstore.

“Don’t worry, my heart is in two places, behind the mic and behind the pages at Hello Darling, Books & Beyond, too,” she said. “Let’s do this!”

Jillian Bass will handle the 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. shift at Star 105.5, and Hannah B will take over until 7 p.m. XYZ with Eric Zachary will finish out programming at the station each day.
