Two men have been arrested after police found over a dozen guns and a large amount of drugs when a SWAT team carried out searches amid the suspicious disappearance of a Mundelein-area man.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday they are searching for Ruslan Furman, 51, who was last known to reside in the 26500 block of North Route 60-83 in unincorporated Mundelein.

Lake County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli said Furman has not been seen in over a week.

Detectives believe there could be foul play linked to his disappearance.

Covelli said he could not go into further detail yet about why detectives believe there are suspicious circumstances in the case.

Detectives and a SWAT team with the sheriff’s office obtained a search warrant and carried the warrant out on Tuesday afternoon.

The warrant was to search for any crime-related evidence at Furman’s residence in the 26500 block of North Route 83 in unincorporated Mundelein, Covelli said.
