A woman was extricated from her vehicle after she crashed into three parked cars, leaving her car rolled over, in a subdivision near Mundelein, the sheriff’s office said.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Mundelein Fire Department and Countryside Fire Protection District responded around 5:40 p.m. on November 22 to the 25800 block of North Arrowhead Drive in unincorporated Mundelein for a vehicle crash with entrapment.
A 911 caller reported they were involved in a rollover crash and were trapped inside the vehicle.
Sheriff’s deputies arrived and found a four-vehicle crash with one car that had rolled over, according to Lake County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli.
Covelli said Wednesday that an investigation showed a 62-year-old woman was driving a 2025 Mercedes-Benz eastbound on Arrowhead Drive.
The Mercedes-Benz sideswiped the rear of a parked Acura MDX, which was facing westbound.
The Mercedes-Benz then struck a parked eastbound Hyundai Tucson, which pushed the Hyundai into a parked Mazda CX-5.
The impact caused the Mercedes-Benz to roll over and come to a rest on its driver’s side, Covelli said.
Firefighters extricated the driver of the Mercedes-Benz within a few minutes of arriving at the scene and paramedics evaluated her.
Covelli said the woman was uninjured and declined transport to the hospital.
Deputies cited the woman for failing to reduce her speed to avoid the crash. No impairment was suspected.
