A village employee was hospitalized after officials say there was a crash involving a Village of Wonder Lake snowplow truck and a car in Wonder Lake Sunday morning.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded around 9:05 a.m. Sunday to the intersection of Wooded Shore Drive and East Wonder Lake Road for a vehicle crash.
Deputies arrived and requested the Wonder Lake Fire Protection District to the scene for injuries.
The Village of Wonder Lake said the crash involved a passenger car and a village snowplow truck.
The driver of the snowplow truck was transported to Northwestern Medicine Hospital in McHenry for further evaluation.
Their current condition was stable and they are undergoing routine assessment, village officials said.
The occupant of the passenger vehicle was evaluated by paramedics and refused further medical treatment.
“The Village remains committed to the safety of both our residents and our dedicated staff,” the village said.
A tow truck was called to the scene for the white Ford Edge SUV involved and officials said there were minor traffic delays in the area.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office. No citations or charges have been announced.
