The sheriff is investigating after multiple suspects forced entry and burglarized a sports bar and grill in Ingleside early Friday morning before fleeing.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded around 4 a.m. Friday to Rookies Sports Bar and Grill, 26440 West Wooster Lake Drive in Ingleside.

Lake County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Matthew Harmon said deputies received a call for a possible burglary in progress.

Dispatch advised responding deputies that multiple suspects had forced entry to the business.

The suspects were reportedly targeting video gaming machines inside the establishment, Harmon said.

Deputies found that the suspects had gained access by breaking the front glass door while the business was closed.

The suspect had already fled the scene by the time deputies arrived minutes later, Harmon said.

A search of the area was conducted but they were no longer in the area and believed to have fled in a vehicle.
