Police say a domestic dispute resulted in two people being hit by a vehicle and injured on Milwaukee Avenue in Vernon Hills Monday afternoon.
The Vernon Hills Police Department and Countryside Fire Protection District responded around 12:05 p.m. Monday to Milwaukee Avenue near Executive Way in Vernon Hills for a report of pedestrians who were struck.
Police officers and firefighter/paramedics arrived to find two people who were struck by a vehicle in the northbound lanes of Milwaukee Avenue.

Vernon Hills Deputy Police Chief Shannon Holubetz said preliminary information suggests the crash stemmed from a domestic dispute involving the occupants of two separate vehicles.
“All parties have been identified, and police are not actively searching for anyone at this time,” Holubetz said.
Paramedics transported the two victims to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville with non-life-threatening injuries.
After the incident, Vernon Hills Police broadcast an alert over the Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network (ISPERN) for the vehicle that struck the two victims and reportedly fled northbound on Milwaukee Avenue.
The vehicle was described as a black Dodge pickup truck with two occupants, according to the alert.
The alert was cancelled late Monday afternoon after the offending vehicle was reportedly located.
Holubetz said that no one is in police custody as of late Monday afternoon, but police have identified all people involved in the incident, and no one is being pursued.
It is currently unknown if or what charges will be filed.
The Vernon Hills Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
