Three people were hospitalized following a four-vehicle crash in Johnsburg on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
Commander Robert Salazer of the Johnsburg Police Department said emergency personnel responded to a four-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of Route 31 and Running Brook Farms Road at about 3:55 p.m. Tuesday.
As a result of the crash, three individuals were transported to a local hospital with injuries believed not to be life-threatening, Salazar said.
Officers were assisted on scene by area fire and EMS personnel, who provided medical care and ensured the safe removal of involved parties.
Route 31 was closed for approximately 40 minutes while emergency responders managed the scene and cleared the roadway.
The roadway has since been reopened, and normal traffic flow has resumed.
Salazar said one person was cited for a lane violation as a result of their role in the incident.
