A pair of 17-year-olds allegedly stole a car that was warming up in the driveway of a Zion home before fleeing from police in Gurnee and later being arrested after a foot pursuit in Zion.

The Zion Police Department responded around 1:18 a.m. Tuesday to the 2700 block of Lowery Court in Zion for a report of a vehicle that was stolen.

Officers met with a resident who reported that two subjects had entered their Toyota sedan while it was warming up in the driveway and drove away with it, Zion Police Department Lt. Derek Zaloudek said.

Both suspects are 17-years-old.

Around an hour later, the Gurnee Police Department spotted the Toyota and attempted to pull it over, but it fled from them.
