One person received minor injuries, and a family has been displaced after a male driver crashed his car into a townhouse in Woodstock early Saturday morning, authorities said.

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the 2300 block of Linden Drive following reports of a vehicle crash with entrapment and injuries at 2:38 a.m. early Saturday, said Woodstock Fire/Rescue District Public Information Officer Alex Vucha.

Firefighter/paramedics arrived within minutes, Vucha said, and found a passenger vehicle that had crashed into the first floor of an end-unit townhouse.

The vehicle caused significant damage to the exterior wall of the residence, including moderate intrusion into the townhouse living space.

The American Red Cross was also called in to assist the displaced family with temporary lodging and other immediate needs.
