One person was injured in an apparent ATV crash in Fox Lake Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
Lt. Jake Geist of the Fox Lake Fire Protection District said emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of Ridgeland and Pine avenues in Fox Lake at 5:36 p.m. Sunday for a reported ATV crash with injuries.
Upon arrival, Geist said crews located a middle-aged male patient on the ground after an apparent ejection from the vehicle.
Bystanders at the scene also confirmed the patient had been ejected from the ATV.
No other vehicles were involved, Geist said.
Fire and EMS crews provided immediate medical care on scene before the victim was transported by Lake Villa Fire Protection District ambulance to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville in serious but stable condition, Geist said.
Round Lake Fire Protection District assisted the Fox Lake Fire Protection District by providing change-of-quarters coverage while Fox Lake crews operated at the scene.
