No injuries were reported, but a home was deemed uninhabitable following an early morning fire in Spring Grove on Friday.

Klicker said the home was fully engulfed in flame, but the house was empty when firefighters arrived on the scene.

He said due to the home being fully engulfed, a MABAS box alarm was activated to bring in fire crews from throughout northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.

Due to the home being empty, Klicker said no injuries were reported to people, pets or firefighters.

Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, Klicker said, but emergency personnel remained at the scene until 7 a.m. waiting for NICOR technicians to locate and shut off the natural gas supply to the home.
