A woman allegedly fled from troopers in her Camaro on I-94 in Chicago on the Fourth of July evening before being tracked and arrested an hour later in Round Lake Beach.
Joanna Guadarrama, 23, of Round Lake Beach, was charged in Cook County with aggravated fleeing and eluding police, reckless driving, speeding 35 mph or more over the speed limit, improper lane usage, failure to signal when changing lanes and operating a motor vehicle with a license plate cover.

On Saturday at around 10:08 p.m., an Illinois State Police trooper observed a gray Chevrolet Camaro driving recklessly on I-94 northbound near West Marquette Road in Chicago, which is near the I-90 and I-94 split, Illinois State Police Public Information Officer Jayme Bufford said.
“A traffic stop was attempted, but the vehicle fled,” Bufford said.

At around 10:50 p.m., the same alleged Camaro was located by another state trooper in Gurnee, according to police radio traffic.
The trooper followed the Camaro as it was traveling westbound on Grand Avenue through Gurnee and relayed its location over the Illinois State Police Emergency Radio Network (ISPERN).

The Camaro turned onto Route 45 and then westbound onto Rollins Road towards Round Lake Beach, according to radio traffic.
The Camaro continued traveling westbound on Rollins Road and entered Round Lake Beach at around 10:57 p.m.

The trooper conducted a traffic stop on the Camaro at around 11 p.m. on Rollins Road just east of Cedar Lake Road in Round Lake Beach, according to radio traffic.
Guadarrama was identified as the alleged driver and was arrested in the parking lot of O’Reilly Auto Parts, 200 West Rollins Road.

The Round Lake Beach Police Department assisted at the scene.
Ernie’s Wrecker Service responded and towed the Camaro.

Guadarrama appeared in front of Cook County Circuit Judge Robert Kuzas for her first appearance hearing Thursday morning, court records show.
The judge imposed pre-trial release conditions on Guadarrama.
