The sheriff’s office is actively searching for a child and seeking the public’s help after he went missing from Beach Park after making “concerning statements.”

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday afternoon that it was seeking the community’s help in locating a missing juvenile.

Tamareon Thomas, 16, was last seen on Thursday evening in the 10100 block of Wadsworth Road in Beach Park.

Sheriff’s officials say he made “some concerning statements” before leaving.

Thomas is possibly with an extended family member who is around the same age as him.

Thomas was last seen wearing a black Nike zip-up jacket with blue pajama pants that have avocados on them, the sheriff’s office said.

He is 6-foot-2, 150 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Sheriff’s officials did not say whether Thomas has gone missing before or released further details on his disappearance.

Anyone who spots the boy is asked to call 911 so police can check his well-being and reunite him with his concerned family.
