A mother is asking for the public’s help in finding her 14-year-old son who has been missing since Monday from the McHenry area.
Christine Shale Dascott said her son, Caleb Corbett, ran away from their home on Monday after they got into an argument.
Dascott said that Caleb did not go to school on Tuesday and his phone is off.
He was last seen walking down Route 120 from Curran Road in McHenry going towards Wonder Lake.
Dascott said her son has been hanging out with someone named “JJ” and someone named “Frankie.”
A missing person report has been filed with the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and police have been actively searching for him.
Caleb is 14 years old, 5-foot-4, 120 pounds, with very light auburn hair, blue eyes, a right ear piercing and scars on both of his arms.
He was last seen wearing black Converse Chuck Taylor shoes, black pants and no shirt. “I’m assuming he threw on a black band t-shirt before he left,” Dascott said.
Early Wednesday morning, Dascott said police found the boy Tuesday evening at a house near Hancock Drive in Wonder Lake. Caleb ran from police, who searched the area for several hours without being able to find him.
“If you have any information on where he may be or if you see him PLEASE reach out. My heart hurts, I just need to know he’s okay,” Dascott said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office at 815-338-2144.
