Lottery officials announced that a grocery store in Spring Grove sold a winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million in Monday night’s drawing and two online lottery players won six-figure prizes.
The Illinois Lottery said Tuesday the ticket was sold at Jewel-Osco, located at 2401 North Route 12 in Spring Grove.
The lucky player matched all five numbers in the Monday night drawing to win the $1 million prize.
The winning numbers were 17-21-29-42-49, with Powerball 7.
The Spring Grove Jewel-Osco will receive 1% of the prize — or $10,000 — for selling the winning ticket.
Another player, who bought a ticket through the Illinois Lottery’s iLottery platform, matched four of the five numbers plus the Powerball in the same drawing to win $150,000, the Illinois Lottery said.
A second online player matched all five numbers — 9-17-23-29-32 — in Monday’s midday Lucky Day Lotto drawing to win the game’s $500,000 jackpot.
The three wins add up to $1.65 million in prizes.
Illinois Lottery players have won nearly $1.1 billion in Powerball and Lucky Day Lotto prizes from more than 10 million winning tickets statewide this year, the Illinois Lottery said.
Winners have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
The Illinois Lottery said it encourages winners to write their name on the back of their ticket and keep it in a safe place until they are ready to claim their prize.
